This direct marketing vehicle usually consists of four to seven separate pieces or “components.”  Most packages of this sort consist of a carrier, reply /order form, brochure and a letter.  They may also contain a lift note, often containing a special message from the sender or a special deal, designed to further “lift” response.

Many of the component packages I designed were used to invite customers to stock up (at a special discounted price) on products that they had previously purchased.
